List of UDS Affiliated Colleges of Education
The University for Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana is affiliated with the following six Colleges of Education:
- Tumu College of Education – Primary, Early Grade and JHS Education
- McCoy College of Education, Nadowli – Primary and JHS Education
- Dambai College of Education – Early Grade, Primary and JHS Education
- Gambaga College of Education – Primary, Early Grade & JHS Education
- St. Vincent College of Education, Yendi – Primary, Early Grade & JHS Education
- Al-Faruq–College of Education, Wenchi – Primary, Early Grade & JHS Education
Students in these colleges receive academic certificates from UDS at the end of their studies.
How to get admission to Colleges of Education
The first thing you need to do is pay GHC115.50 to the Colleges of Education- Ghana Account. You can do this at any branch of this bank across the country:
- You can pay at any branch of Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited.
- You can also pay using your mobile money wallet: Tigo Cash, Vodafone cash, Airtel Money, or MTN Mobile Money. Just dial 9248# from any network.
- After paying, you will get these details:
- A PIN.
- A Serial Number for your application.
- The website address for the application – https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh/
- Use the PIN to go to the website and fill out the online application form. Follow the instructions carefully.
- Choose three Colleges that you want to apply to for your Program. Also, choose a Ghanaian Language that you want to study.
NOTE
- Before you fill out the application form, make sure you read and understand all the instructions carefully.
- If you don’t fill out the application form correctly, it will not be accepted.
- When you finish the online application form, you have to print a copy and send it with one passport photo and your results slip(s) (if you have them) by EMS priority envelope. You can get the envelope from any Ghana Post branch. The envelope should be addressed to: The Principal of the first College you chose.
- You will get a text message to confirm that your application has been received. So, you have to give a valid and working cell phone number when you fill out the form online.
- You will also get a text message to tell you if you have been offered admission or not. If you don’t get this message, it means your application was not successful.
- The Colleges will check your results with the West African Examinations Council as part of the admission process. If you use fake or false documents to support your application, you will face legal action.
