Apply online to any UCT undergraduate program — here’s what you need to know.

 

When to Apply

Applications for admission in 2026 open on 3 April 2025 and close on 31 July 2025. Please submit your application as early as possible — late applications will not be considered.

Application Fees

 

An application fee applies to all applications. However, current UCT students, UCT graduates, and Semester Study Abroad (SSA) applicants are exempt (unless applying to a Graduate School of Business (GSB) program). Check the official fee structure for details.

 

Submitting Results and Documents

 

Current school learners: Submit all Grade 11 and Grade 12 results (up to the September exams). Missing results may delay your application.

Transferring students: Submit all official transcripts and academic records as early as possible.

Tracking Your Application

 

After you apply, you’ll receive log-in details to check your application status online. UCT will also email you with updates, so monitor your email closely. Please note: UCT does not provide application status updates over the phone.

Financial Aid Applications

 

Undergraduate applicants needing financial assistance must apply through the NSFAS online system. Applications are open now and will close in November. Be sure to complete your NSFAS application on time.
